I have a Chocolate Lab named Mama Hershey. When she first came to me, her name was just Hershey. Early one
morning a white work truck pulled into my driveway. I went out to greet them and they had a Chocolate Lab mix in the back.
She was awfully skinny and had a hole in her back leg the size of a quarter. The leg was swollen about four times the normal
size and the wound was badly infected. I took her in and healed the wound and she started gaining weight fast. Boy, was she
pretty! There was just one problem..she didn't stop gaining weight. She got fatter and fatter and fatter. On April 17th,
2002 she gave birth to eight beautiful puppies. They are now ready for adoption. They have been spayed/neutered and have had all
their shots. There are six males and two females.
The puppy to the right is just barely 6 weeks old. At three weeks of age, he was dumped in a ditch full of cold water.
He was found and brought to me. He is a sweet little guy, fully weaned and wants a good home. He has had his first set of
puppy shots and the Doc said he was in excellent health. Wouldn't you like to take him home?
